Boy likes nothing – coffee break play by Lita Doolan as a girl tries to leave hint about her Valentines day present
Girl – I don’t know why I come here. It’s horrible and it smells again
Boy – It’s your make up
Girl – No It’s the cake
Boy – It’s all over your face
Girl – So is the dessert. Is that why you’re not having any?
Boy – I work here. They don’t pay us to eat
Girl – I’m taking dessert away. Like a present. Could you wrap it please?
Boy – Just trying to push your luck again? You’re out of here
Girl – But you owe me a present. It’s what I came for. At least give that to me
Boy – Doing what you want you always do. That’s your present. Now leave me alone.
Girl – You can leave my present behind the desk for me
Boy – No. There it is. There. Eat it then beat it.
Girl – At least I tried. Diamonds are forever but cake tastes better. I guess I should be pleased you’ve put it on a plate.
Boy – You got yours and you like it so now I will have a Bugatti
Girl – A model one?
Boy – As long as it is made of gold
Girl – Or painted gold?
Boy – Solid gold
Girl – Solid gold plated?
Boy – Just solid
Girl – Too heavy for me to carry home after I’ve been to the food bank pantry and I’m feeling weak today. Hey aren’t you the first aider around here?
Boy – Yes. I do it for extra money.
Girl – Then go and get me more cake before I pass out.
Boy – You’re making a fuss and turning customers away. Do you ever do subtle?
Girl – No. Get me one of those chandeliers hanging from the ceiling in a bag to go
Boy – Don’t you think they would miss it?
Girl – They are sparkling. They are perfect for my needs. They are shiny.
Boy – They look like your make up today – you look like a cannon ball
Girl – Then fire me bullet boy.
Boy – I hate this job. I never did like this job. I’m firing myself any way
